One Arrested, Three Suspects Outstanding in Robbery with Firearm

Hamilton Police have taken a 15-year-old male into custody as part of an ongoing investigation into a recent Robbery with a Firearm. However, the search for three additional outstanding suspects continues.

On  Sunday, October 29, 2023, shortly after 6:30 p.m., a black Lincoln Navigator was traveling in the area of Garth Street and Twenty Road when a damaged white Mercedes abruptly blocked their path. Four individuals exited the Mercedes, assaulted the occupants of the Lincoln Navigator, forcefully removed them from the vehicle, and fled the scene in the stolen Lincoln Navigator.

A 15-year-old male, a resident of Hamilton, has been taken into custody in connection with the Robbery with a Firearm. He has been charged with the following offenses:

·        Five Counts of YPC Robbery with a Firearm

·        Three Counts of YPC Breach Probation Youth

·        Two Counts of Fail to Comply with Youth Sentence

Further charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.

All occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries during the incident, none of these injuries were life-threatening.

The stolen Lincoln Navigator was located abandoned shortly after the incident. The white Mercedes left behind at the scene was reported as stolen from the Hamilton area. 
A firearm has been recovered.

The 15-year-old suspect is currently in custody and has been held for a bail hearing.

While one individual has been arrested, the search for the three remaining suspects continues. Hamilton Police are actively investigating the case and urge anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
