Overnight Home Invasion on the East Mountain

Police are seeking witnesses and asking residents to check their security systems for any suspicious activity that may have occurred in the area of East 38th Street and Crocket Street, Friday morning shortly after 1:00 a.m.

On June 21, 2019, shortly after 1:00 a.m., Police received a 9-1-1 call for three suspects breaking into a residence in the area of East 38th Street and Crocket Street, in the City Of Hamilton. The occupants of the home were awoken by banging at their door. When the occupants went to investigate, they were confronted by three male suspects, one holding a firearm. The suspects forced their way into the home and when the occupants resisted the suspects fled the residence. The suspects were last seen running southbound on East 38th Street towards Crocket Street and are believed to have driven away in a dark compact car similar to a Mazda 3.

Nothing was taken from the home and Police cannot rule out that this was a targeted incident.

Division 3 Detectives are following up this investigation and will be canvassing the area for witnesses and video surveillance.

  • Male, black, 25-35 years-old
  • Average build (150-180lbs), 5'8-6'0
  • Wearing a gray hoodie (pulled tight around his face, with a bandana)

  • Male, black, 25-35 years-old
  • Big puffy lips, skinnier face
  • Wearing a hoodie

Suspect#3

  • Male, light skinned/mulatto, 25-35 years old
  • Dark eyebrows, dark hair, scruffy goatee

Suspect Vehicle: Black or Grey Mazda 3
