Overnight Shooting in Alleyway
The Hamilton Police Service is investigating after a shooting in a downtown alleyway, took the life of a 38-year-old man.
On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, shortly before 10:30 p.m., a 38 year-old male victim was shot in the alleyway between Birch Avenue and Gibson Avenue in Hamilton. Victim was transported to the General Hospital, where he later died at approximately 11:15 p.m.
No suspects at this time, no weapon has been located and no arrests made at this time.
The investigation has been taken over by Major Crime Unit.
This is Hamilton’s 7th homicide of 2021.
A large police presence is expected in the area, as police work through the investigation by canvassing for witnesses and video surveillance.
