Police Appeal for Witnesses to Suspicious Incident

Hamilton Police continue to investigate an early morning incident involving a vehicle and three occupants at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Columbus Gate. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Sunday, December 29, 2019, shortly after midnight, Hamilton Police responded to the area of Lexington Avenue and Columbus Gate after receiving information about a suspicious incident. During the investigation, police reviewed security footage which captured a motor vehicle travelling south on Lexington when a female exited while it was in motion. The vehicle stopped and two male occupants exited and assisted the woman back into the vehicle. It was last seen travelling east on Columbus Gate. The vehicle is described as a newer model, white, four-door sedan with a sunroof.

The Hamilton Police Service is asking the public to review the photos and to contact police if they recognize any of the individuals or vehicle.

At this time police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to check on the well-being of all persons involved.
