Police Catch Early Morning G2 Stunt Driver

This morning an 18-year-old Hamilton man was caught stunt driving. His licence has been suspended and his parents' vehicle seized for seven days.

On Monday, May 6, 2019, shortly after 1:00 a.m., a Hamilton Police officer was conducting mobile proactive traffic enforcement on Trinity Church Road near Golf Club Road. At that time a silver Acura SUV was observed travelling at a high rate of speed southbound on Trinity Church. The investigation revealed the vehicle’s speed was 132 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver an 18-year-old-Glandbrook man who held a G2 driver’s licence provided the appropriate documents as requested by police.

As a result of the offences, the driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his parents' vehicle impounded for the same period.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 3, 2019, to answer to the charges
