Police Catch Early Morning Stunt Driver

A 39-year-old Glanbrook man was caught stunt driving. His licence has been suspended and his vehicle seized for seven days.

On Wednesday, April 10, 2019, shortly after 1:30 a.m., a Hamilton Police officer was conducting proactive traffic enforcement on Regional Road 56 at Cemetery Road. At that time a grey SUV was observed travelling at a high rate of speed southbound on RR56. The investigation revealed the vehicle’s speed was 131 km/hr in a posted 60 km/hr zone.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver a 39-year-old-Glanbrook man provided the appropriate documents as requested by police.

As a result of the offences the driver’s licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle impounded for the same period.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, to answer to the charges
