Hamilton Police expresses gratitude to the citizens who reported these offenses, emphasizing the ongoing partnership required to combat crime effectively.

On Monday, November 13, 2023, shortly after 12:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to concerning driving behaviour in the area of King Street East and Centennial Parkway following reports of a possible impaired driver. A vigilant citizen had observed an SUV displaying erratic driving, including entering oncoming lanes, swerving, brake-checking drivers, and engaging in other dangerous actions.
As the investigation progressed, similar alarming behaviour was reported involving a black transport truck on the Stoney Creek mountain. Futhermore, citizens reported that the truck had collided with another vehicle during its continued erratic driving. Hamilton Police officers promptly responded to the reports and attended the scene. Through continued investigation and invaluable assistance from the community, it was determined that the driver in question had barricaded themselves in a nearby residence. The accused is scheduled for a bail hearing this morning and is facing the following charges:
