On Thursday May 18th, 2023 at approximately 5:15 p.m. Hamilton Police responded to the encampment in the area of Hunter Street West and MacNab Street South for reports of a disturbance involving a male with a knife. 

Upon arrival, Hamilton Police located a female with minor injuries that appeared to be caused by an edged weapon. 

Hamilton Police are asking residence, businesses and vehicles with dashboard cameras in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between 3:30pm and 5:30pm for any suspicious activity. The suspect in this investigation is described as follows: 
• Male 
• White/ Hispanic 
• 5'11-6'1 
• Black wavy shoulder length hair 
• Black goatee style facial hair 
• Blue T-Shirt 
• Tan Coloured Pants
