Police Investigate Shots Fired at Vehicle on the West Mountain

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance from the public in identifying suspects from an overnight shooting.

On Monday, February 24, 2020, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Limeridge Road West and Kendale Court for a report of shots fired. Through investigation, police learned two suspects approached the victim while he was seated in his parked vehicle. They proceeded to fire several shots at the vehicle and then fled on foot to an awaiting car. The victim was uninjured but his vehicle received a number of bullet holes as a result of the incident.

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and it is unknown if this matter was targeted.

One of the suspects is described as follows:

SUSPECT

  • Male
  • Approximately 5’9” tall,
  • 130 lbs
  • Wearing a hoodie and bandana around his face

A vehicle of interest has been established.

VEHICLE

  • Mazda Hatchback
  • Dark coloured
  • Tinted windows
  • Dark hubcaps/rims

Police are asking for the assistance of the public in identifying the suspects and the vehicle involved. Residents in the area are urged to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activities and to contact police.
