Police Investigate Single Vehicle Crash - Motorcycle

A 40-year-old Hamilton man was transported to the hospital after a single-vehicle collision at Barton and Emerald on Sunday night. His injuries have been deemed to be non-life-threatening.

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Hamilton Police received information about a motorcycle collision at Barton Street East and Emerald Street North. Once on scene, police located the male rider with obvious injuries to his lower body and head. The rider, a 40-year-old male from Hamilton was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police identified witnesses and through investigation it was leaned the motorcycle was travelling eastbound on Baron Street when the rider lost control and struck the centre median. He was subsequently thrown from the motorcycle. The scene was held until an additional medical assessment was conducted. The rider’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening.

Charges are not being laid in this incident.

The motorcycle sustained major damage and was removed from the scene.
