Police Investigate Stranger Incident at Billy Green School

Hamilton Police are reminding students to walk in pairs after an 11-year-old student at Billy Green Elementary School reported a male following her while walking home from school.

On Monday, April 8, 2019, an 11-year-old student was walking home from school alone when she noticed a male following her. She became scared and ran home. The student did not report the incident at the time.

On Monday, April 15, 2019, at 8:00 a.m., the student was walking her usual route to school when she noticed the same male from April 8, 2019. The male started to follow her down Athenia Drive in Hamilton so the young girl began running towards her school and noticed the male’s presence behind her. The student safely made it to school where she was able to alert staff. At no time did the male make contact or speak with the student.

Description:

  • 6 feet, 40 to 50-years-old
  • Light brown skin, mustache and poufy light brown hair
  • Black coat and shoes with grey and white jogging pants

This is the only reported incident at this time and Police continue to investigate.
