Police Investigate Suspicious Individual

Hamilton Police are actively investigating an incident that took place on Monday and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

On Monday, November 20, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., a concerning interaction occurred in the area of Melrose Avenue North and Cannon Street East, Hamilton.

A ten-year-old was approached by a stranger claiming to pick them up from school. The vigilant child, sensing something was off, smartly walked away. The unknown male was last seen heading south on Lottridge Street towards King Street East. The incident was not reported at the time.

Information provided to police:

·       Male, white,

·       Short blonde hair

·       Height: Between 6'0" - 6'2"

·       Facial Features: No facial hair, ear, nose, and possibly lip piercings

·       Tattoos on both hands

·       Attire: Dark blue coat, grey sweatpants

Hamilton Police are seeking the public's help by asking anyone with information or security camera footage from Monday, November 20, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to come forward.
