Police Look to Identify Suspicious Vehicle and Occupant

Hamilton Police are asking the public for their assistance in identifying a suspicious vehicle and occupant.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the Hamilton Police Service entered into an investigation after receiving reports of a suspicious individual in the area of King Street East and Barnesdale Avenue South in the City of Hamilton.  On this date, at approximately 2:45 p.m., as a female was walking in the above-mentioned area, she was followed and approached by a male driver of a black Honda Civic.  After a brief interaction, the vehicle left the area in an unknown direction.  No physical contact was initiated during the incident and no one was physically injured.

The Hamilton Police Service are asking for residents who live in the area of King Street East and Barnesdale Avenue South to review any exterior surveillance camera footage for the suspect vehicle between the times of 2:35 pm and 3:00 pm on Thursday February 8, 2024.

Vehicle Description: 4 door, black Honda Civic with tinted windows. 

Suspect Description: brown skin, short hair, long scruffy black beard, spoke with an accent and was wearing a black turtleneck.
