Police Looking to Locate Outstanding Male with Firearm

On August 28, 2019, shortly before 11:00 a.m., police responded to a 911 call from a resident on Brigade Drive in Hamilton. The person indicated there were two unknown males inside the home and feared for their safety.

Police arrived and arrested one male on the scene but the second male escaped, running eastbound on Brigade Avenue. The male was in possession of a firearm at the time of the offence. The victim did not receive any injuries and this is believed to be targeted.

A local school on Brigade Avenue, Helen Detwiler, was placed into a hold and secure to ensure the safety of all individuals inside.

After a thorough search of the area, police downgraded the search at 1:30 p.m., and lifted the hold and secure.

Police continue to investigate and actively look for the outstanding suspect. He is considered to be armed and dangerous please do not approach and call 911.

Suspect Description:

  • White Male, late teens-early 20's
  • 6"feet, blondish hair
  • Wearing a blue, Blue Jays Hoodie, blue jeans and white running shoes
