Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Suspect in Church Break-ins

Hamilton Police are actively investigating a series of commercial break-ins at two local churches within the City of Hamilton and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect involved.

On Thursday, October 19, 2023, Hamilton Police responded to a reported break and enter on the west Hamilton Mountain. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an individual had forcibly entered a church, making off with various items.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the same suspect is linked to a second church break-in that occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at a church in the vicinity of Sherman Avenue North.

Description of Suspect:

  • Gender: Male
  • Age: Approximately 30 years
  • Build: Medium
  • Facial Hair: Full dark beard
  • Headwear: Flat brim baseball hat with a circle emblem
  • Attire: Black sweater featuring a design on the front pocket and left chest, dark pants, white and black DC Shoes

The Break and Enter, Auto Theft, Robbery (BEAR) Unit investigators are urging the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect.
