Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

Hamilton Police BEAR unit continues to investigate a robbery that occurred in early February.

On Sunday, February 7, 2021, shortly after 12:00 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to the Hasty Market located at 387 Barton Street East for a robbery.

Through investigation, police learned a lone male entered the Hasty Market, approached the counter and demanded cash. The suspect then stated he had a weapon however a weapon was never observed.

The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled eastbound on foot.

No one was physically injured during this incident.

Investigators from the BEAR Unit are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.

  • Medium build
  • 5’8
  • 20-29 years-of-age
  • Black North Face jacket with grey fur trim around the hood
  • Black toque
  • Black COVID mask
