Police Seek Witnesses to Collision Involving a Cyclist

Hamilton Police are investigating a collision involving a pick-up truck and cyclist. Witnesses to the collision who have yet to speak with police are asked to contact detectives.

On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, shortly after 10:00 a.m., a cyclist was operating his bicycle northbound on Centennial Parkway while attempting to make a left turn onto Barton Street. At the same time, a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck was travelling south on Centennial Parkway, through the intersection. The two vehicles collided resulting in the cyclist being dislodged from his bicycle.

The driver immediately pulled over and has been cooperating with police.

The cyclist, a 45-year-old Hamilton man was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. His injuries are considered serious and he is in stable condition.

As a result of the level of injuries incurred by the cyclist, the Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision or anyone who has dash-cam footage and has yet to speak with police, to come forward.

Detectives have not ruled out any contributing factors to the collision.
