Police Seize Guns and Drugs during Search Warrant Execution

A Hamilton couple was arrested yesterday after a lengthy drug investigation on the Hamilton Mountain. They are scheduled to appear in court later today.

Members of the Hamilton Police Gangs and Weapons Enforcement Unit commenced an investigation focusing on a mountain residence and its occupants.

On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, an application for a Controlled Drugs and Substance search warrant was submitted to the courts. The warrant was granted the same day for a residence in the area of the Red Hill Valley Expressway and Mud Street West as well as two associated vehicles.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m., a male related to the identified residence was observed operating a vehicle in the area of Stone Church Road and Upper Ottawa Street. With assistance from the Emergency Response Unit he was arrested without incident and taken into police custody.
