Possession of Child Pornography Charges Laid Against Hamilton Man

In June 2020, the Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation into an individual who was in possession of child pornography. The male suspect was identified as residing in Hamilton and a search warrant was executed at his dwelling on July 16, 2020, by members of the Hamilton ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit and Division 10 Uniform Patrol.

A forty-four-year-old male was arrested and charged with two separate counts of possessing child pornography. A forensic examination of devices capable of storing digital media is ongoing and it is possible that further charges may be filed.
