PSD Chase Tracks Down Hidden Cash

Hamilton Police have arrested a male and female after a search warrant on James Street South yields cocaine and a large quantity of cash.

On November 21, 2018 shortly after 5:30 a.m., Hamilton Police executed a search warrant on an apartment on James Street South. Police conducted a search and located $500 worth of cocaine and a large quantity of Canadian Currency. During the search, PSD Chase brought attention to a piece of furniture in the residence. When officers dismantled the unit, they discovered over $50,000 concealed in a secret compartment.

The male occupant was arrested and held for a bail hearing. The female resident was released with a Promise to Appear at a future date.
