Rope Rescue at Dundas Escarpment

Hamilton Emergency Services joined efforts to rescue two people who had fallen while hiking along a trail near the escarpment in Dundas. The hikers were removed from the area by way of a rope rescue and were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

On Friday, August 24, 2018, shortly before 8:30 a.m., Hamilton Police received information two hikers had fallen and injured themselves along the escapement in Dundas. The hikers were located and were moved to safety by way of a rope rescue by Hamilton Fire Department.

A 20-year-old male and 17-year-old female have been transported to the hospital. Their level of injury is not known at the time of this release as they are currently being evaluated.
