Serious Injury Collision Involving a Motorcycle and Motor Vehicle on Queenston East

A motorcycle travelling eastbound on Queenston Ave in Hamilton struck a vehicle that was westbound on Queenston attempting to make a left turn into the shopping plaza at 674 Queenston Rd, Hamilton.

On Thursday, August 30th, 2018, at approximately 11:53 pm, police were dispatched to the area of Queenston Rd and Nash Rd, for a motor vehicle collision that involved two vehicles.

A 49-year-old male driver from Hamilton was travelling eastbound on Queenston Rd past Nash Rd on a motorcycle. The 49-year-old driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 22-year-old female driver from Hamilton was driving westbound on Queenston in a motor vehicle. The 22-year-old was not injured in this collision.

The investigation is in its early stages. However, impairment has been ruled out.

UPDATE to injuries at 0600hrs, the 49-year-old driver remains in hospital with serious injuries but in stable condition at this time.
