Shots Fired in Downtown Stoney Creek

Hamilton Police are currently conducting an investigation following the discharge of multiple gunshots in downtown Stoney Creek.

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, shortly before 10:00 a.m., a 4-door grey or silver Honda approached a man and woman, both in their 50s, and discharged several rounds in their direction before speeding away southbound on Mountain Avenue.

Hamilton Police are seeking the identity of two suspects, the driver of the Honda Civic and passenger, who is believed to be shooter in this incident.

At this time there are no reported injuries. Police can confirm that this is a targeted shooting and that the male in his 50’s was the intended target.

 Hamilton Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police. Detectives are also asking if you were driving in the area and have dash camera footage that would be suitable for review please contact the investigators.
