Stabbing Investigation in the Westdale Area

Hamilton Police are looking for the public’s assistance with a stabbing investigation that occurred in the Westdale area. If you have video or information that can assist please call the Central Investigation Branch.

On Thursday, August 29, 2019, shortly after 1:00 a.m., a group of males were walking in the area of Whitney Avenue and Emerson Street when another group instigated a physical confrontation. During the assault two males 19 and 20-years-old received injuries from an edged weapon and sprayed with a noxious substance.

The males were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police were provided descriptions of the 5-6 suspects that fled the scene in a smaller black motor vehicle.

Suspect #1

  • Male black, 19-20 years old, long dreadlocks, heavier set, 5’8-5’9.

Suspect #2

  • Male white, red hair, tall with a slim build

Suspect #3

  • Male Middle Eastern, 18-19 years old, 5’10, clean cut

Police continue to collect details on the outstanding suspects.
