Stabbing on Hamilton Mountain Tuesday Afternoon

Hamilton Police detectives continue to investigate a stabbing incident that occurred on the Hamilton Mountain. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, shortly after 3:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a stabbing that occurred in the area of Acadia Drive in Hamilton. Once on scene, police located a male suffering from injuries believed to have been caused by an edged weapon. The 17-year-old male was transported to hospital with serious injuries. His condition has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Hamilton Police maintained a presence in the area as the scene was processed.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Mountain Division Criminal Investigations Branch. With the information available at this time, police believe the incident was targeted.

There are currently no suspect descriptions. Suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival.

This investigation is ongoing at this time.
