Suspended Driver will Face Cocaine Trafficking Charges

Police arrest a male driver for trafficking drugs after being pulled over for a routine traffic stop.

On May 14, 2018, shortly after midnight, police observed a black Ford pick-up truck parked with its tires resting on the sidewalk obstructing pedestrians. As Police attempted to investigate, the vehicle proceeded to drive away. The truck was pulled over by police at King Street East and Ashley Street, Hamilton and identified the driver had a suspended license.

The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while being suspended. Further investigation lead police in locating 10.2 grams of Cocaine and 47.65 grams of Methamphetamines (approx. combined street value of $5700), a large sum of money and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The male was held for bail hearing and scheduled back to John Sopinka Court House on June 6, 2018.

Charged: Michael Caron (42-years) Hamilton resident.
