Suspicious Vehicle Investigation Leads to Recovered Stolen Auto

Hamilton Police have arrested two youth after identifying a suspicious vehicle in a residential area, in the east end of Hamilton. Police located the subject vehicle as the occupants bailed out in an attempt to evade police. After a foot pursuit, two youth were arrested and charged accordingly. They will appear in court on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, to answer to the charges.

On Monday, September 24, 2018, shortly after 11:00 a.m., Hamilton Police were in the area of Queenston Road and Nash Road, Hamilton, when a suspicious vehicle was identified. The vehicle, a dark grey Dodge Caravan was observed by police as it entered a nearby plaza. The occupants of the vehicle exited and fled in an attempt to evade police. A short time later, police were able to locate the males and place them under arrest. One of the males was also in possession of a prohibited weapon, spring-loaded knife. Further investigation revealed the van had been reported stolen to Hamilton Police on September 20, 2018.

The males were scheduled to appear at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, to answer to the following criminal charges:
