Teen Driver Charged in Fatal Linc Collision

Hamilton Police have charged a 16-year-old male of Hamilton in a fatal motor vehicle collision investigation.

On Monday, June 19, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway, east of Upper James Street, in the City of Hamilton. A 2023 Mercedes YCG, driven by a 16-yr-old G2 driver, collided into a 2022 Lexus IS, driven by a 24-yr-old Hamilton man, who was eastbound on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the Hamilton Police were notified the 24-year-old male driver had succumbed to his injuries sustained from the collision.

Hamilton Police have charged a 16-year-old male of Hamilton with;

  • Dangerous Operation Causing Death
  • Criminal Negligence Causing Death

The 16-year-old male has been released and will be appearing in court at a later date.

A driving prohibition has been imposed.
