Traffic Stop Leads to the Arrest of Two Wanted Parties

Hamilton Police are committed to working towards a safer community for all.

Early Thursday morning Hamilton Police conducted a traffic stop in the east end of the city and arrested two wanted parties from the Brantford area. The males were held for a Bail Court Hearing to answer to several criminal charges.

On Thursday, March 15, 2018 shortly before 5:00 a.m., police were patrolling the east end of the city when a 2005 red Toyota Camry was observed travelling northbound on Tuxedo Avenue with the headlights off. The vehicle was stopped in the area of Roxborough Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue. As police conversed with the occupants pertaining to Highway Traffic Act infractions they were made aware of Criminal Code violations. Investigation revealed valid warrants of arrest existed for both occupants with the Brantford Police Service.

The occupants were arrested during which time illicit drugs were located on their person.

Charged:

Jesse Bradford, 35 years of Brantford

Charges:

  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance - Methamphetamine X2
  • Faily to Comply with Recognizance X3

Charged:

Gary Watcheston, 29 years of Brantford

Charges:

  • Obstruct Peace Officer
  • Possession of Controlled Drugs and Substance - Methamphetamine
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2

They are both scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 15.
