Hamilton Police Conduct Traffic Stop and Arrest Drug Dealer
Hamilton Police observe a male exit a residence known to be involved in the drug culture and enter a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and an occupant was arrested for drug related charges.
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018 shortly after 7:30 p.m., as police were patrolling the area of Tisdale Street South and King Street East they observed a male exit a residence known to be involved in drug activity. The male then entered an idling vehicle. As the vehicle proceeded northbound on Tisdale, a traffic stop was conducted as a result of a Highway Traffic Act infraction.
An investigation of the vehicle’s occupants revealed the presence of a large quantity of illicit drugs. One male occupant became combative in an attempt to prevent his arrest.
Michael Smith 42 years from Toronto has been arrested.
