On Saturday, July 4, 2020, shortly before 5:00 p.m., an unknown male riding an Ebike stopped and approached an Ancaster resident as he exited his car in a driveway in the area of Stonehenge Drive and Thoroughbred Boulevard. The suspect approached the male and threatened to spray him with mace while holding the can in his direction. The suspect decided not to spray and left the area on his Ebike.

On the same day, a second incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m., when a male and female inside their parked car at Ancaster Meadow Public School on Kitty Murray Lane in Ancaster was approached by a male on an Ebike. The victims left the area immediately to a safe location where EMS was able to transport them both to the hospital for treatment.

Both attacks were unprovoked.

Hamilton Police Detectives canvassed the area and obtained surveillance video that identified the suspect.
