Westdale Neighbourhood Hit with Overnight Break and Enters

Hamilton Police are appealing for the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in a series of residential break and enters.

Since April 9, 2019, a suspect has broken into six residences located in the Westdale neighbourhood. The entries occurred between midnight and 4 a.m., while residents were sleeping. Once inside, the suspects steal easily accessible items such as computers, phones, key fobs, wallets and purses. In two cases, homeowners also had their vehicles stolen.

Police are asking homeowners to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity.

Police continue to remind the public to be vigilant about locking doors and securing windows. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in the area to Hamilton Police at (905) 546-4861 or 9-1-1 for a crime in progress.

It is too early to link all the cases and Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate.
