Youth Arrested for Waving Replica Firearm at School

Hamilton Police Service have arrested a 13-year-old after the youth was seen waving a firearm outside Ancaster High School.

On January 24, 2019 at 2:58 p.m., students on a school bus reported seeing a teen waving a firearm outside Ancaster High School. Police immediately responded and placed the school in Hold and Secure. The youth was located outside the school and arrested. He was found to be in possession of a replica firearm.

The Hold and Secure at Ancaster was lifted at 3:15 p.m.

The youth is now in custody and charges are pending. Police continue to investigate the incident.
