Driver Suffers Fatal Medical Emergency While Driving

On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, shortly before 9:30 a.m., a 9-1-1 call was generated to the area of Highway 52 and Governor's Road for a motor vehicle collision.

A 64-year-old Cayuga man had suffered a medical emergency while operating a garbage disposal truck. The motor vehicle was observed by witnesses as it turned northbound onto Highway 52 from Governor’s Road. The truck then mounted the curb and was kept on the road by the guardrail until it came to rest in the ditch.

Bystanders were quick to render aid to the man however the male was pronounced deceased a short time later at hospital.
