Hamilton Police have charged a 55-year-old Hamilton woman following an investigation into the sale of stun guns at a local business.

In September 2026, the Major Drugs and Gangs Unit (MDGU) began investigating allegations that stun guns were being sold at Tabby’s Variety, located at 419 King Street East.

On November 6, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant at the business and seized seven stun guns from behind the sales counter. The business owner was arrested without incident.

She has been charged with:

• Weapons Trafficking
• Possession of a Weapon for the Purpose of Trafficking

She was released on an undertaking.
