On Thursday, November 5, 2026, just before midnight, Hamilton Police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Kenilworth Avenue North, between Britannia Avenue and Hope Avenue.

A Honda Civic travelling southbound struck a 19-year-old woman who was on the roadway. She was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The male driver was not injured. The driver remained on scene and has been cooperating with investigators. 

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Investigators are asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the collision to contact police.
