Another Arrest Made in Carel Douse Homicide Investigation

Shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, members of the Hamilton Police Service Major Crime Unit and Emergency Response Unit, with the assistance of Peel Regional Police attended a residential dwelling located on Hobart Gardens, Brampton.

Daniel Wise was taken into custody without incident. He has now been formally charged with 1st-degree murder in relation to the May 18, 2019 homicide of Carel Douse of Hamilton. The investigation into Accessory After the Fact charges for those who assisted Daniel Wise in evading arrest will continue.

One of Daniel Wise's Co-Accused's, Samitar Hassan, was arrested by Toronto Police on June 19, 2019.

The third suspect remains outstanding, there is a Canada-Wide Warrant for 1st-degree murder for Alieu JENG. Information has been received that Jeng is likely in the greater Toronto area and that he may have altered his appearance by shaving his head.

Anyone with information about the individuals who are assisting Alieu Jeng in evading arrest is asked to call Detective Shane Coveyduck at 905-546-3843.

Police encourage those who observe Alieu Jeng to call 911 or Crimestoppers.
