Arrest Made in RBC Bank Robbery Investigation

The Hamilton Police Service has continued to investigate a robbery at the Royal Bank, located at 545 Rymal Road East. A 38-year-old man from Hamilton has been arrested and charged. He will appear in court later today.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Hamilton Police requested assistance from the public with identifying a robbery suspect from September 10, 2019. The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit received several tips from the public and Crime Stoppers which advanced the investigation.

On Thursday, October 17, 2019, a 38-year-old Hamilton man was arrested. He was taken into police custody and held for a bail hearing. The male will appear in court later today to answer to robbery-related charges.

The investigation remains ongoing and Hamilton Police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
