Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit continues to investigate a bank robbery from early September. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about the robbery or the suspect to come forward.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, shortly before 2:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the Royal Bank located at 545 Rymal Road East, Hamilton for a Robbery.

The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, however, through investigation, police learned a lone male entered the bank and approached the wicket. He produced a note that stated it was a robbery and he was in possession of a weapon. The suspect was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency and then fled on foot.

A weapon was not seen and no one was injured during the incident.

Investigators from the BEAR Unit are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.
