The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is now investigating an incident involving the death of a motor vehicle passenger. An 88-year-old Hamilton woman has succumbed to injuries acquired while attempting to enter a motor vehicle as a passenger.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, shortly after 11:30 a.m., a Hamilton woman was attempting to enter a motor vehicle in front of 950 Fennel Avenue East, Hamilton. During the incident, she was knocked to the ground, sustaining a serious upper-body injury and was transported to the hospital.

On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, the patient succumbed to her injuries.

The driver, an 84-year-old Hamilton woman is cooperating with police.
