Fail to Remain Collision involving pedestrian

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a fail to remain collision that resulted in serious injuries to an elderly male pedestrian.

On Friday, September 20, 2019, at approximately 9:00 pm an elderly male was crossing northbound on Main St East in the crosswalk on the west side of Sanford Ave when he was struck by a dark coloured SUV travelling eastbound on Main St.

The suspect vehicle failed to remain at the scene and the elderly male was transported to the Hamilton General Hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

The suspect vehicle should have extensive damage to the front end and windshield.
