Hamilton Police Looking to Identify Pedestrian Victim

Hamilton Police are looking for assistance in identifying a male pedestrian struck by an SUV on Sanford Avenue. 

On Friday, September 20, 2019, at approximately 9:00 p.m. a male was crossing northbound on Main St East in the crosswalk on the west side of Sanford Ave when he was struck by a dark coloured SUV travelling eastbound on Main St.

The suspect vehicle failed to remain at the scene and the male was transported to the Hamilton General Hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.

The male pedestrian is white, aged 50-70 years, 5'11-6'2 inches tall, 240-250 pounds, stocky build wearing grey shorts, white t-shirt and white running shoes. The individual walks with the assistance of a cane.

The suspect vehicle is a dark coloured four-door SUV or full-size vehicle that will have extensive front end and windshield damage.
