Further Arrests Made in 2022 Shooting

Hamilton Police have arrested two more individuals for their involvement in a shooting that occurred on October 23, 2022.

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, shortly after 1:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a shooting in the area of George Street and Caroline Street, in which a shooting occurred inside the residence.

The victim, an 18-year-old male sustained non-life threatening injuries resulting from a gunshot.

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Hamilton Police arrested and charged, a 20-year-old male, Noah Alexander Mervyn Sheridan. An arrest warrant for this male was previously issued in October of 2022.

Noah Alexander Mervyn Sheridan has been charged with the following;

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Use firearm in commission of an offence
  • Point firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to order x 2
  • Possession of a prohibited loaded firearm
  • Fail to Comply Probation x 4

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, Hamilton Police arrested, a 24 year old male, Dustin Alexander Curran for the following charges;

  • Robbery with a firearm
  • Aggravated assault
  • Use firearm in commission of an offence
  • Point firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited loaded firearm

To date, the Hamilton Police have arrested a total of five individuals for this shooting incident. On Monday, October 24, 2022, police arrested, a 22-year-old male, Malachi Oratio Alleyne-Smart and on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, police arrested a 17-year-old female and a 19-year-old female, Heather Nicole Raymond Couroux.
