Hamilton Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in March Shooting

Hamilton Police have arrested a 24-year-old male for attempted murder in relation to a March shooting that took place in the City’s east end and left a woman injured.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2021 shortly after 11:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Parkdale Avenue North and Barton Street East after receiving reports of a shooting.

A 25-year old woman was located nearby who had sustained injuries consistent with a gun shot wound. She was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, a 24-year-old male was located and arrested in relation to this shooting. The accused of No Fixed Address appeared in court by video on June 13, 2021, and charged with multiple offences including Attempted Murder. He remains in custody.
