Hamilton Police Continue to Investigate Fatal on the Red Hill Valley Parkway

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision

At approximately 6:40 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022, a 67-year-old Hamilton man was traveling northbound on the Red Hill Valley Parkway near Queenston Road Bridge when his vehicle became stuck. The man exited his vehicle and while checking for damage, both he and his vehicle were struck by another motor vehicle. The secondary vehicle continued northbound on the Red Hill Valley Parkway and did not stop at the time. A passerby contacted 9-1-1 and Emergency Services responded.  The male was transported to hospital in serious condition.

The 67-year-old male has succumbed to his injuries, 12 days after the collision.  The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate and the second involved vehicle has been identified.

This is the City’s second motor vehicle fatality of the year.
