Hamilton Police Investigate City's Eighth Homicide

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the City’s eighth homicide of the year.

On June 13, 2021 at 6:46 p.m., Hamilton Police Service and Hamilton Paramedic Service responded to an unconscious male on the second floor hallway of 737 Barton Street East, Hamilton. The male, believed to be in his 50s, had signs of blunt force trauma and was transported to the Hamilton General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses report a verbal altercation that occurred inside the building prior to the discovery of the male victim by other tenants of the premise. At this time, investigators do not have any suspect(s) descriptions available. The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed.

Police will be in the area throughout the day today and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
