On October 15, 2018, Police continued their investigation of the stabbing incident in the area of Mains Street West and Norfolk Avenue, Hamilton.

During the investigation, police were able to identify and speak with the two males who had the initial contact with the suspect prior to him chasing the female into traffic.

Police learned the males were threatened by the suspect while he was in possession of a knife. As a result, police have laid two additional charges for Assault with a weapon.

Carlos Enrique Cuesta (20-years-old) Hamilton resident

Cuesta has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on October 16, 2018.
