Hamilton Police Searching for Attempt Murder Witnesses

Hamilton Police Service is looking to speak to several individuals who witnessed an attempted murder at a Tim Hortons location in Hamilton.

Shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2019, Hamilton Police responded to the Tim Hortons located at the intersection of Caroline Street South and King Street West for a person with a weapon. Divisional Detectives investigated and charged a 16-year-old male with numerous offences including multiple firearms-related offences and Attempted Murder. The investigation continues and police are searching for the following witnesses:

Witness #1

Male, dark hair, olive coloured jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes

This witness arrived on foot northbound on Caroline Street. He was standing at the Tim Hortons counter when the shot was fired.

Witness #2 and #3

Young female, red coat, pink purse, blue jeans, grey shoes (possibly Keds)

Young female, blue coat, blue jeans, white sneakers, backpack

These two young females had been dropped off together in a dark coloured four-door sedan and had been standing at the Tim Hortons counter when the shot was fired.

Witness #4

Adult female, olive green coat (yellow or white coloured stripe), blue jeans, black shoes

This woman was driving a dark coloured sedan. She stopped to talk to a male who had been standing outside of the Tim Hortons after the shot was fired. Investigators believe that she had been at Vida La Pita which is located beside the Tim Hortons.
