Hamilton Police Seek Charges in 2017 Carjacking

Hamilton Police Service investigators have identified a 24-year-old male Waterloo resident in a 2017 carjacking that took place at a Husky gas bar on Limeridge Road East.

The male suspect is one of four suspects involved in the offence. The suspect is currently in custody in another jurisdiction. Hamilton Police are applying for an order to bring him to court in Hamilton to be arraigned on the following charges:

  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Disguised with Intent

On October 18, 2017, shortly before midnight, the victim pulled into the Husky gas bar located at 221 Limeridge Road East. While pumping air into his tires, a dark coloured SUV pulled up. Three male suspects exited, wearing hoodies and face coverings. One of the suspects was holding a gun and demanded the keys from the victim. The suspects took the victim’s vehicle and were last seen driving southbound on Upper Wellington Street.

At approximately 3:17 a.m. on October 19, 2017, the victim’s vehicle was involved in a hit and run with an OPP cruiser when it was driving the wrong way on Hwy 7 in Kitchener. The OPP officer was not injured. The vehicle was later recovered in the Waterloo Region.
