Hamilton Police Seek Witnesses to Robbery Incident

Hamilton Police seek witnesses to a robbery that has left a woman hospitalized. The victim was walking alone with her dog when she was involved in an altercation with an unknown male. The female sustained injuries to her hands and head. She was transported to hospital and is currently intubated. Anyone with information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact police.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, shortly before 10:30 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of St. Clair Avenue and Main Street, Hamilton, for a Robbery that left a female injured. At the time of the incident, the female was walking her dog along St. Claire Avenue when an unknown male approached her and attempted to take her dog. The female resisted and was injured during the interaction. She received injuries to her head from a blunt object and hands from a knife. The female was taken to hospital for medical treatment and later intubated. Her condition remains stable condition at this time.

The suspect fled the area and is described as a male wearing a white toque and a black jacket.

Police continue to investigate and will interview the victim when her condition improves.
